This graphite felt is specially used as quality electrode material for most energy storage systems, such as vanadium redox-flow battery. Using imported oxidized needle raw felt, we process with special techniques, then carbonize and graphitize. Due to processing with continuous production equipments, the felt achieves unique characteristics, including smooth flat surface, even thickness and integral electrochemical homogeneity. Hence, as electrodes, they give wonderful performance in the VRF battery stacks, low internal resistance, active homogeneous electrochemical quality, good corrosion resistance, slow attenuation after many cycles, and high energy efficiency, etc.
Our company has a complete testing system for ESS. By simulation of real working conditions in large-scale battery system (for example, in Vanadium Redox-Flow battery, electric energy is obtained from the electrolyte, where active substances cycle from the positive to the negative, and a series of reversible redox reactions occur，thus the realization of mutual conversion between chemical energy and electric energy is achieved.), those laboratory instruments of our system can test and evaluate our graphite felt for battery. After long testing and evaluation, the performance of our felt is gradually but steadily improved. Up to now, with our graphite felt, the energy efficiency reaches up to 85.33% when the current density is 80 mA/cm2; the energy efficiency reaches 84.22 when 100 mA/cm2; it reaches 82.68% when 110 mA/cm2.
